I only spent $20 on groceries!!

Ok, it doesn't sound like much but my grocery bill are usually between $60-$100. (I'm a big fan of food and cooking)

Instead of getting a 12 pack of toilet paper I got eight rolls for $3. I tried really hard to only buy what was on my list. I splurged and bought sausage, but that is in the freezer and we have great ingredients for omlettes on hand.

Anyway, I'm really proud of myself, so I'm calling it a success.

YAY!

Now all ya need is to turn that $20 into $100 with a fist full of coupons and you are set smile)

For us it went a little something like this, we would coupon clip like crazy from all these leftover coupons the local gas station would throw away with all the papers each week.
Now there wasnt everything every week, but for example there was a Ragu pasta sauce one I remember that had it for $1 off then we took that to the local store that doubled coupons so now its taking $2 off to make it $0.99 so we bought like 10 at that, the shelf life is long on that item so we had lots of pasta sauce, we would do the same for sugar, or anything else that was on offer that week that we could store, after a couple of months our cupboards were full and we had a wide selection of good things to eat!
There are only a few really good coupons per week in a large circulation paper, but week in week out the list grows out to be something decent. Sometimes there are coupons to get something totally free also!

For how many people?

Yeah... I'd call it a success too.  For some reason, we can't get out of the store without spending $100 a week.  These growing kids who are always hungry are going to eat us out of house and home.  yikes

2 1/2. The one year old doesn't eat much more but she does require a lot of snacky things that we wouldn't get otherwise.

Great job!  I didn't do so well at the grocery store this month.  I've got to get back on track next month.

$20 on groceries for how long? I just spent $170 for two weeks. Granted I had zero food in the house to start with, but that's quite a difference.

Wow you put me to shame. I like to go to grocery outlet prices are usually 30%-50% off. Even though I still dump on ave $100-$160 every two to three weeks.

That's pretty dang good.  I usually go to Food4Less and $60 will get me enough food for 2 weeks.  And I'm only one person...
