We had our second child about 10 weeks ago, as a result my wife was taking a 12 weeks maternity leave.  12 weeks without pay can really be a challenge when you are heavily in debt, but due to our discipline sticking money away in savings, we have made it through and it looks like we'll even have about $600.00 left to keep in Savings.  It feels very good that we made it through and I feel like we made some very mature financial decisions along the way.

Yay Us!

Congratulations!  It's such a great feeling to accomplish something you set out to do, but doubt you can do it, isn't it!  What a way to set a new habit!  Congrats!

Congrats on the baby!

Great Job on both the baby and making it through...a lot of folks in that same situation could have really ended up in a mess.  Financial discipline can really be the difference between being comfortable or digging yourself in to a bad situation.
