It really feels good to have our own savings account. I opened my own saving account for my future and of course to help my family in case of emergencies. I started saving since at the age of 15.

I know it feels good to actually be able to save a few bucks and pay off a few bills at the same time. I think that is such a great idea. The whole savings account thing kind of gets me because they take out a mantinence fee for keeping one which to me, defeats the purpose of calling it a savings account but regardless, I still have one.

Well done! That's great news. Just be sure you don't get distracted or forget about your savings. Even on really tight weeks where you think you have nothing to put aside, don't get tempted to just 'miss a week'. Instead, just put a smaller amount in. It makes no difference how much you put in, as long as you keep up the habit of saving a little bit regularly.

Sounds like life is going well for you.  Keep up all the good work and you will be able to finish paying everything off.  How is the job going?

I have a savings account but I can't ever seem to put anything in it. I need to get myself out of debt first. And that's going to take a very long time.

Btw, I love those bank that give you money to open an account with them. I've done that twice now. Once was only for $15 but the one with Citibank was for $50.

This is something I most definitely need to looking into doing. And I really like the idea of the ones that offer money for opening an account.

I wish we had banks that give you money for opening an account. I'm in Australia and here they charge us to have an account

I had a savings account but if you don't continue to add money you will eventually not have any money due to all the bank fees That is so not cool I ended up having to close my account due to not keeping up with adding money.

I've gotten to the point where I just put my money up n a personal safe now days. I have a few savings accounts but I just don't want to open up another one.
