I am really big into budgeting my money.  It helps keep me on track of my finances and expenses.  I usually keep my budget pretty tight and don't allow myself too much play room with my money.     What does everyone here think about budgeting?

budgeting is really important. Without knowing how much money is really going where, you're never going to get anywhere at all!

Nobody I know budgets the same way - but they do budget. I personally keep a list of bills that are coming up on the fridge and break them all down into weekly payments. I pay them every week instead of monthly.

I budget too. I keep track of every cent I bring in and then pay my bills. If I need something extra I save for it. I put that in my budget. I put everything I have to pay in different piles and then see how much money I have and pay the bills first. Everything else is bought when I have the extra money.
