Hi all. I just recently stumbled across several sites that promote making money by writing in their blogs and forums. Just curious if anyone has ever made any money doing this?  The reason I am asking is because I always have an opinion and I like sharing it with others.  Thanks in advance

I have stumbled across those myself, and most of them are legit. You should try a site http://www.online-writing-jobs.com/ this site is legit, ive had a friend do some work from those sites. It shouldnt be to hard to get some of the jobs, you just got to check regularly. some are good paying and even long term. GOOD LUCK!!

I get paid for writing blogs.  If I had to rely on it solely, I couldn't do it right now.  But, all I would have to do would be to add more clients.

Along those lines, writing articles online isn't hard either.  But, some people don't want to pay anything for the guy who writes the words that make the money.  That's why you have to be smart.

Writing online is the question then.  If you want to get a blog writing job or an article writing job, go to guru.com, getafreelancer.com or freelancewriting.com  My personal favorite is guru because through that site, I established a great professional relationship with one of the clients I have now and he has referred others to me, which means I'm a full time writer online and my clients came from my experience with that site.  I do write blogs and article.  But, I also write books and reports.  Really, whatever the clients need.  Website content, brochures, letters...etc.

And guru.com has more than that.  They have medical, secretarial, web development...check it out and you'll see what I mean.

Where do you find jobs like these? I love to write, but I never would have thought you could get money for writing a blog. My blog is just my private thoughts about my life and stuff that happens.

How does that work?

I've made money from online sites like taking surverys and a few other things. Other places will give you gift certificates if you post a lot at their site. Places like Gather.com will give gift certificates and cash payouts if you earn enough points.

I've seen these around but I wouldn't expect to make a living from doing it. If you're looking for some extra cash then it might be a good idea but on the other hand i hear that services like this take a long time to disperse the money. It's usually more trouble than it's worth, but if you're already blogging for free it might be a good choice.
