I concentrate on saving money by lowering my monthly expenses with my utility bills and other small things.  I bought CFL lightbulbs, lowered my hot water heater temperature a bit and some other small things. The more you save, the more you make.

Hi.   You might consider doing some phone work from home.   I did a psychic/friend line for awhile and made pretty good extra income at it.  The best time to work it is late evening to midnight.   The company I worked for gave you a script and several sheets of stock answers to reply to the client. They also had a website that you could put in the persons birthdate and read them their horoscope.  I found after doing it just a short time that most people calling  just wanted to talk and air their porblems.   ** For those with morals, I never claimed to be a pschic nor did I ever predict the future or past for anyone I just became a great listener to people that were lonely and gave them an outlet to air their problems. Anyway, you can find lots of these kinda jobs on the job boards just really check out the company before you sign up.  Good Luck

i've had great luck selling used books on amazon. I also am a web developer so I take on side projects in addtion to my 9-5.

Really? Did you just sell some of your own or did you collect a bunch from garage sales, etc??

I am certified arborist. Sometimes people want info what is wrong with my tree. Why is it sick. Why did it fail. Often I can charge $25-$50 for this half hour consult.

I am currently trying the online surveys.  I will let you all know how it pans out.  I'm going to be uber-upset if I don't get this money!  I have been using Inbox Dollars and Send Earnings.  You get paid to read e-mails and take online surveys, and you can get paid larger amounts to do paid trials (I don't know those).  You have to have $30 in each account to request payment.  So far I have lik $18 in one and $19 in the other accumulated.   It's been more tedious than I thought, and I do receive a TON of junk mail and a TON of phone calls to my cell - I just ignore them.

Have any of you done surveys through Inbox Dollars or Send Earnings?  Are these the sites that didn't pay you??  Please let me know if so!

I also just opend an account with Associated Content.  For those you write for them, so you make very much?  I just submitted two articles, so I'm waiting to see if they get published.

I also have two blogs.  I created one so I could use Google Adsense on it.  I only have one ad on it though, I think.  So if anyone has advice on how to make money from blogs, please message me - I need all the help I can get!

Other than those minor things, I work in Non-Proft - working 50 to 60 hours a week - not getting paid what I feel I'm worth.  But I hope to be getting out of non-profit within the next year, and back into advertising!  I also babysit for my neighbors kids OFTEN.  It pays well - I made over $2000 in 2006 (don't worry, I claimed it on my taxes).  The only other thing I do is cooking for our monthly board lunch.  I don't do it every month, but several times a year - it averages to about $100 each time I do it.  I'm doing it this coming Monday (after a full weekend of babysitting), so I should have a few hundred dollars t put on toward my debt balance.

On the subject of online survey's I've found a very interesting site, and I wrote an article about it on my blog.  See the link in my signature.

It's very upfront about how much you will make for each survey or offer you participate in, and it also warns you when there is a cost associated with signing up for an offer.  Very neat stuff.  Also has a great referral program, so use the link on my blog! big_smile

Like I mentioned (and from the advice I found on this board), I have started submitting writing pieces to Associated Content.  Well, I just got an e-mail today that two of my pieces have been published - and I couldn't be happier!

If you'd like to check them out, please visit:

So far, of the things we have been discussing on this thread, Associated Content seems to be the best bet.  By no means will you get rich, but at least you get paid before people even view your work!

Hi payingfor playing,

I saw your articles, and also tried to get the rating up for you! Can you tell me did you write them as exclusinve or non-exclusive, and how much did they pay you?

Just curious. i signed up but have not done anything with it yet, but I am planning to.
