What kind of software do you use for your every day finances, your taxes, etc?
I use MS Excel 100%. It's basically an overgrown calculator, but I really like how flexible it is. Plus, if you're an advanced user, you can write macros to calculate how long it will take to pay off credit cards, or use the function wizard to do a loan repayment calculation.
I use Excel as well. Excel makes it a lot easier to make a column for every account and show your payments on each one instead of trying to do all of the math together!
I use Quickbooks for my business - no better way IMO.
I don't keep track of my personal finances (the wife does that), but I am a fan of Quicken or MS Money.
gnucash (www.gnucash.org).
It's free, open source software. Now runs on windows. Reads and writes quicken compatible files. Great software, give it a try.

I love to use Quickbooks Pro. Since, I already use this with companies I work for, it is free for me to track my own expenses this way. I have tried both Quicken and Money, and they are both relatively comparable products, easy to use, and good programs for budgeting.
